Floris Molijn

Floris was born in the broadcast industry as a son of a television director in Holland. After studying Journalism and media and entertainment management? Floris started as a rigger at Cinevideogroup, based in Holland, which was a technology focussed OB company. After learning the ropes a few years as camera operator, Floris became project manager in the company that was later rebranded UNITED and has managed technical deliveries on events such as the Olympics, FIFA events and survivor to name a few. A majority of the thousands of productions Floris managed over the last 20 years were live and involved delivery over satellite, fibre or IP. Some notable events worth mentioning are the world’s first VAR match and the broadcast technical and event management of Glory kickboxing from 2011 to 2018. Since 2017, Floris moved to Singapore and joined Oranda, a full scale broadcast service and delivery company, doing hundreds of transmissions and productions each year, including notable events as the Olympics and the Asian games managing major organisations.
Despite his obsession with technology, Floris spends his free time in Singapore’s nature reserves photographing wildlife, being eaten alive by mosquitoes and does beach clean-ups to preserve the country for future generations.
